We hope you’ll join us this Sunday for the start of a new series: “Censored” - Who We Are in Secret. We’ll be watching video from Shoreline’s Sunday service from Jan 4. There will be sandwiches, coffee and smoothies from PJ’s available until worship begins at 6pm. We’ll finish by 7 with some time to get to know each other and to share terrific live music and lively discussion.

If you haven’t been to CoffeeShopChurch yet, this is a perfect time to drop in for some java, some fellowship and some great teaching.

Despite a few technical difficulties, everything ran pretty smoothly. Hunter, Dave, and Esther did a great job with the musical portion of the evening. Also, a big thanks to Graeme for filling Tim’s shoes, while Tim has been out of town. The video we watched “Make Us Real” was a very fitting message, since it talked about who we are as a church. What’s cool about the card is that it has a snowman shaped (how seasonal!) punch out section, that can be redeemed for a free coffee during church service hours at PJ’s. That’s this Sunday, at 6pm. It’s the wireless video doohickies (that’s the technical term! j/k) to be able to broadcast the lyrics and videos to the various TVs without having to run a bunch of ugly wires all over the place. We’re still figuring out the final details for how exactly it’s all going to work, and probably most of this will get figured out on the fly. On the same note, a 48″ flat panel TV has been donated this week specifically for Church at PJ’s.

So far, we’ve had some really good responses regarding starting the service at PJ’s. PJ’s has reported 15+ people that have seen the signs around town, and inquired about the service. We also met a new family at Shoreline’s service at the Rave in Destin this Sunday. They came because they saw the “Church at PJ’s” signs out. So they looked up this website, and then clicked over to the main Shoreline site. They decided to come to church on Sunday, and then came to Discovering Shoreline, our welcome lunch, held at Panera once a month.

We have yard signs to advertise our first service on December 14th that we plan to put up all over Santa Rosa Beach. We’re also currently getting 500 invitation cards printed to hand out. We’re looking to see if we can make the invitation card double as a gift certificate for a free drink at PJ’s as our way of saying “Thank you for checking out Shoreline’s Church At PJ’s!”

Unfortunately, due to some scheduling conflicts, we are unable to do a “test run” service this weekend, but it was really only to iron out any tech kinks anyway. This is going to be a pretty unique experience, and we look forward to meeting you there!
